A suntan is associated with holidays, good times and by extension, year round tans are associated with wealth, celebrities and well-being. In short, a glossy suntanned skin is a highly desirable fashion accessory!

Undoubtedly, a pale white complexion looks healthier with a golden hue, but the hazards associated with sun exposure and UV bed tanning; including skin cancer, sun damage and premature ageing etc., are well-documented and as a result, self-tanning creams and professional spray tanning are now by far the most popular method of developing a radiant, sun-bronzed skin.

To tan or not to tan...

Of course, the inevitable dilemma with self-tan application is that as the colour develops, the self-tan product can stain fabrics which are exposed to the skin; bedding, clothes, lingerie etc. Many leading self-tan brands must be left on the skin for 8hrs without showering and consequently most manufacturers recommend applying your self-tan prior to going to bed to avoid the product staining your clothes. Unfortunately, however, your bed sheets and duvet covers then become unavoidably marbled with orange brown streaks

and unattractively scented with DHA, which linger until the bed linen is next washed... Until now, the self-tan devotee was obliged to change her bedding the day after self-tanning or sleep on the soiled sheets until washday - not a desirable look for any romantic encounter in the meantime!

Tan stained sheets and a peculiar odour are an irritating inconvenience that significantly adds to the washing and ironing pile - and whilst up to now most self-bronzed goddesses have been prepared to tolerate such frustrations in the name of beauty - mothers, husbands and boyfriends are not fans of fake tan for these reasons!

Dreamtan is a 100% cotton Protective Tanning Bedliner designed for personal overnight use to avoid the staining and odour of self-tanning product onto your bedding, on the night of self-tan application.
